WebJul 10, 2024 · I want to install Optifine for Minecraft, so I downloaded it and got a .jar file. I have been told that you need java to open this file, and that you then just double click it to open the installer. So I downloaded java and chose to open the .jar file using: "Java(TM) Platform SE binary" (as was specified in the guide on how to install Optifine).
